Ariana Grande finally let her hair down—literally!
The 21-year-old "Bang Bang" singer is famous for her signature high ponytail. She's also dabbled with a half-up, half-down 'do, and on occasion, played around with different sorts of buns and braids. But on Friday, the former Sam & Cat star posted an Instagram snap from her "spontaneous photo shoot the other day" of her long, caramel locks falling freely—and there was not a hair elastic in sight!
Don't get too, too excited, though—this stylistic switch wasn't Ariana's choice. She explained in her Instagram post that she "told [hairstylist Dalina Robollo] to do whatever she wanted to my hair," and it looks like the glam squad jumped at the opportunity to bid adieu to the big pony!
Don't give Ms. Grande too tough of a time for (almost) always wearing her hair the same way, though. In a lengthy Instagram post earlier this year, she explained that she "completely destroyed" her real hair through over-bleaching and dying it, so now, "I wear it in a pony tail because my actual hair is so pro ken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down."
"So as annoying as it is for y'all to have to look at the same hair style all the time, that works for now," she said, adding, "AND i'm comfortable fgor the first time in years."
Hey, you can never go wrong with a good ponytail, but Ariana's hair looks super cute down, too!
