While we're sure there will be no shortage of hotness, the anticipated Magic Mike sequel could have been even hotter!

In an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that airs on Wednesday, Channing Tatum, who famously flaunted his abs in the hit 2012 male stripper drama film, revealed that Zac Efron expressed interest in appearing in Magic Mike XXL, which is set for release in July 2015.

"Yeah, sexy man," he said, as a photo of Efron appearing shirtless at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards was displayed on a screen behind him.

Earlier this year, Efron, who appears on E!'s list of ideal Magic Mike sequel stars,  had talked about the idea of appearing in Magic Mike XXL, in an on-camera interview with the U.K.'s Magic 105.4 FM radio station.

"We haven't really talked about it," he said. "I mean, I love Channing. Magic Mike was an awesome movie. ... I mean, who knows. It looks like fun."

Aside from Tatum, the new movie features at least two more returning cast members, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer.

Tatum also told Ellen DeGeneres that he had wanted Chris Pratt, who starred with him in the romantic comedy 10 Years and was recently seen in Guardians of the Galaxy, to appear in the first Magic Mike film. He said the actor could not because he was filming episodes of NBC's Parks and Recreation.

"And he looks great right now," DeGeneres said.

"Aw, he looks amazing," Tatum agreed.

As for himself, the actor said that he is currently training hard to get back into shape for Magic Mike XXL and is "no longer 'fappy.'"

Tatum also talked to DeGeneres about his fears, both professional and personal. While Tatum, who used to work as a stripper in real life, showcased some sexy dance moves in the first film, he is not keen about the idea of ever singing onscreen.

And the actor, who has played daring action heroes in movies such as White House Down and the G.I. Joe films, probably won't be starring in any Chucky sequels, either.

"In real life, I am terrified of porcelain dolls," he said. "I just think they're really super freaky. They have like real eyes and they look real ... I just imagine, when I walk by them, their heads turn with you the whole time."

Naturally, DeGeneres made him face his fear, with hilarious results. Watch the video above to find out what happens when you stick a doll in Tatum's face ...
