The cross-country traveling continues!

In 2002, Britney Spears and Zoe Saldana went on a post-graduate road trip in Crossroads. On Monday, the co-stars caught the same flight from L.A. to New York City. Uh, Taryn Manning, where were you?!

Spears, 32, attempted to keep a low profile by wearing a hat, dark sunglasses and an oversized sweater. Saldana, 36, dressed her growing baby bump in a striped top. She completed her look with yoga pants.

It's unknown if the pop star and the pregnant actress interacted in the sky.

In recent years, however, Saldana has repeatedly said nice things about the "Perfume" singer. In 2011, she told The Daily Beast that she had been on Spears' side since "...Baby One More Time." According to Saldana, her co-star "had the most amazing energy and was always positive and a very discreet person. We were young, too, and got to make a movie about three friends on a road trip. It was so much fun!"

When the Avatar star appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live in December 2013, she said it had been "years" since she spoke to Spears. "On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate her acting chops?" host Andy Cohen asked. Calling the musician "very good," Saldana replied, "I would say a 6, 7, 8-ish."

"Britney's a very beautiful human being," Saldana told Allure in June 2013. "After I worked with her, I realized that there was a reason why she was the most popular pop artist over so many other pop artists at that time who were more talented, had better voices. And it was because of her heart, her soul."

Paramount Pictures

The Guardians of the Galaxy star defended Spears' talents on Watch What Happens Live in August 2014 after an unedited version of "Alien" leaked. "I have a huge amount of respect for Britney Spears," Saldana said. "She was the one big, big celeb that I met when I started to work in Hollywood who literally was humble. I do believe that people and children gravitate to good energy, and she's definitely an abundance of that." Spears later expressed her gratitude via Twitter, writing, "@Zoesaldana Truly the sweetest, thx 4 the kind words. Nothing but great memories of working w u. Crossroads pt 2?"

Perhaps Spears should float the idea to Shonda Rhimes, who wrote the script for the original movie.

Yes, you read that correctly. The mastermind behind ABC's Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and the upcoming How to Get Away With Murder wrote Crossroads years ago. "I definitely felt [that] if there was any message I wanted that film to give, it was that friendships are powerful and can extend beyond race, class and social standing," she recalled in the September 2005 issue of Written By. Critics dismissed Crossroads, but that didn't ruffle Rhimes. "I never thought the critics were going to say Crossroads was a brilliant movie. My goal was for 12-year-olds to think it was brilliant." In the end, Rhimes came out a winner. "I became a rock star" to young people, she said. Plus, she said, "That movie bought my house!"
