Fashion industry insiders came in droves for Joan Rivers' memorial service on Sunday in New York City, including designers like Carolina Herrera, Michael Kors, and of course her longtime friend of over 30 years Dennis Basso.

Joan was a known fan of Basso's luxurious designs and statement furs, and she would often sit front row at his New York Fashion Week runway shows to support her friend.

And so it is fitting that Basso dedicated his spring 2015 collection to the legendary comic and Fashion Police host. Before his runway show at Lincoln Center Monday, Basso's voice came on the speaker asking the audience for a moment of silence in honor of Joan. The lights dimmed for a minute of reflection, and then the show started.

Basso revealed to E!'s Alicia Quarles just how close the two were, explaining that he's forever grateful to Joan because she walked in his first ever runway show, closing out the show for him.

He even went to Joan's Watch What Happens Live taping back in July, remembering that once the late night show wrapped, she still had enough zest and stamina to want to hit the town and continue the evening.

Dennis Basso delivered a collection of gorgeous cocktail dresses and evening furs—fit for a queen—or rather, fit for a Joan. We have a feeling the icon would have loved every last look.
