We're smack dab in the middle of New York Fashion Week, and there was a ton of runway action that went down over the weekend. So let's recap, shall we?

Let's start with one of the brightest spots of the whole week so far: Diane von Furstenberg. DVF had everything we could ask for in a runway show: gorgeous colors, vibrant prints, and supermodels like Naomi Campbell and Kendall Jenner. Also—we spy a crop top! Proof that the ab-baring trend isn't going anywhere.

Prabal Gurung is beloved by Hollywood's heaviest hitters (as well as FLOTUS), and by the looks of his latest collection it's easy to see why. Prabal is originally from Nepal, and he was inspired by his home for his latest collection. We are in awe of the beautiful contrasts: sporty and elegant, delicate and fierce.

Another hit? Monique Lhuillier. She never lets us down, and this season was no different. She delivered a collection of delicate and dazzling confections fit for a princess that had us nostalgic for our dress-up days.

Speaking of pretty confections: Rebecca Taylor. The bold colors and floral appliqués on her swing dresses reminded us of a garden come to life.

Bonus tidbits: Here are a couple honorable mention moments that also happened over the weekend. Opening Ceremony put on a play called 100 Lost Cotton written by Jonah Hill and Spike Jonze. The actors included Rashida Jones, Elle Fanning, Catherine Kenner and Dree Hemingway

And Alexander Wang delivered a collection inspired by none other than sneakers (although models wore strappy heels). The result? Sporty, naturally! And utterly awesome. Also, props to Wang for reeling in the most A-listers; his front row included Rihanna, Nicki Manaj and fashion icon Lauren Hutton.

There you have it: our weekend runway scoop! Stay tuned for even more recappin' action later today.
