Joan Rivers is as stylish and sharp-tongued as ever in a New Yorker tribute cartoon, which depicts her in the afterlife.

The iconic no-holds barred comedienne and host of E!'s Fashion Police, who died on Thursday at age 81, a week after suffering complications from throat surgery, is pictured wearing dark sunglasses, a fur coat over a dark top and two necklaces as she leans her hand casually against a stand manned by who appears to be St. Peter, sporting angel wings and a halo while guarding the entrance to the gates of Heaven.

"If this is a sentimental cartoon tribute, I'm gonna vomit," she says in the cartoon, which was created by Benjamin Schwartz.

The New Yorker is known for its satirical cartoons and related contests.

Rivers, who was born Jewish and whose religion does not recognize St. Peter, angels and the pictured, popular depiction of Heaven, is set to be memorialized in a funeral in a synagogue her native New York on Sunday.
