True love never dies—just ask Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.

The Last Song co-stars ended their engagement on Sept. 16, 2013, and in an interview with Australia's Sunday Night, Cyrus said she still cares for her ex-fiancé. "I love Liam," the singer said. "Liam loves me."

(Relax. That doesn't mean they're going to reconcile.)

Bangerz is Cyrus' most personal album yet, but not because she "went through a breakup." Regarding her hit song "Wrecking Ball," she said, "It's about finding yourself, and sometimes you have to separate yourself from everyone. I just had to become this person who is sitting in this chair right now. If I didn't, I just felt like there was something that was going to explode and I had to set myself free."

Cyrus also discussed her scandalous stage costumes. "That's just what I like to wear," she explained.

"I never think about what someone is going to think. I've always been into fashion. I grew up around Dolly Parton, who is all t-ts," she said. "And both my parents are covered in tattoos and are really cool."

Cyrus was also asked about her occasional drug use. "I put pictures of me smoking weed, I'm not going to lie, on my Instagram. Because again, I was brought up in the way that we never thought marijuana was bad," the 21-year-old singer and former Disney Channel star said. "I don't promote it in my songs or say it and whatever, but it's not like I'm sitting around telling a bunch of kids to do a bunch of drugs."

Cyrus has been inked numerous times, and her 23rd tattoo reads, "Love Your Brain." As such, the TV interviewer asked the pot-smoking pop star, "Does it ever bother you that drugs could hurt your brain?"

"Do you know what hurts your brain? Googling yourself. You know what hurts your brain? Instagram. You know what hurts your brain? Sitting there and reading the comments on Facebook," said Cyrus, who has more 18.5 million followers on Twitter alone. "I have a 14-year-old sister and I go through her comments and people are calling her a slut and that's a 14-year-old. I think that's hurting your brain."

The "Adore You" singer also offered some words of wisdom for those who want to live a more authentic life: "Be free, be yourself, be happy, read books, be the voice for the animals...and have a good time!"
