Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo made their red carpet debut as a married couple Sunday at the 2014 MTV VMAs.
Both the Voice coach, 35, and his model wife, 25, looked beautiful and badass in coordinating leather as they struck a pre-show pose together. Adam wasn't just eye candy, though—he and his Maroon 5 bandmates performed at the VMAs for the first time ever! And while fans seemed to enjoy Adam's "Maps" vocals, others took the opportunity to remind the rocker that he was center stage at the very event he oh-so-publicly decried just three years ago.
If you scroll way down on Mr. Levine's Twitter feed, all the way back to Aug. 27, 2011, you'll find his yet-to-be-deleted anti-VMA tweet, which reads, "the VMAs. one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music. I'm drawing a line in the sand. f--k you VMAs's."
Apparently, that line is crossed when it's time to promote an upcoming album (à la V, which is set for a Sept. 2 release).
Adam seems to have moved past his "Moonman" grudge, though, because in addition to taking the stage there, he found a new topic to take issue with on Twitter...
Only thing missing from the VMA's this year? #pants

"She's not wearing pants? Fuck it. I won't wear pants either." -every dressing room backstage at the VMA's

Maybe there was a separate pants party he just wasn't invited to? Who knows! At this rate, though, Adam may well be strutting his own tighty whities to the 2015 VMAs.
Tune in Tuesday at 8 p.m. for a special VMA and Emmys edition of Fashion Police!
