Elizabeth Vargas and husband Marc Cohn, the Grammy-winning singer of the 1991 hit "Walking in Memphis," have separated and are set to end their 12-year marriage, E! News has learned.
The news comes days after it was announced the 51-year-old ABC News anchor had returned to rehab to seek treatment for alcohol addiction, following a stint last November. She and Cohn, now 55, wed on July 20, 2002, in New York. The two have not commented about the split.
Vargas and Cohn share two young sons. The singer also has an adult son and daughter from a previous marriage.
He and Vargas have been involved in divorce proceedings for a while, E! News learned on Wednesday.
News of the divorce also comes five months after reports of alleged cheating by Cohn, who called them "vicious rumors."
