It's a good day to be a Masters of Sex and Ray Donovan fan!

Showtime just renewed both of the fan-favorite dramas for a third season.

E! News has confirmed that both critically-loved series will get 12 episode-seasons, which will begin production in early 2015.

"Both Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex are quintessentially Showtime: bold, provocative, premium television with production values at the top of the food chain," Showtime President David Nevins said in a statement. "These acclaimed shows are filled with complex and interesting characters and settings that will no doubt give audiences compelling television to invest in for seasons to come."

Masters of Sex stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan, and focuses on the real-life work of Dr. William Masters and Virginia Johnson, the scientists at the forefront of human sexuality research. The series scored five Emmy Award nominations this year, including noms for Caplan, Beau Bridges and Allison Janney, who already won the award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Margaret Scully.

Ray Donovan stars Liev Schreiber as the titular Ray, a "fixer" for the powerful law firm Goldman & Drexler, representing the rich and famous, while FBI agents try to bring down Ray and his associates. Jon Voight, who plays Ray's father Mickey, is also up for an Emmy, receiving his first ever series nomination.
