Haters gonna hate, and Taylor Swift's gonna dominate!

The 24-year-old country pop singer gets the last laugh in her "Shake It Off" music video, because she's crooning and awkward dancing her way to the top of the charts! On Tuesday's Good Morning America, she joked about her "exquisite dance performance" in the clip, and why she's determined not to let "takedown culture" stop her from having a good time.

"People will find anything about you, and twist it to where it's weird or wrong or annoying or strange or bad," she said. "You have to not only live your life in spite of people who don't understand you, you have to have more fun than they do."

Taylor also seems to be having fun with her 1989 album, which she described as "an almost musical rebirth, in that it's my first pop album."

Her official departure from the country music genre will undoubtedly be supported by her devoted fan base of "Swifties" and her plethora of famous BFFs, which include stars like Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham, Lorde, Jaime King and Emma Stone.

So, how is it that Taylor chooses her gal pals? She looks for people "who have things in common with me...or who challenge me," she told GMA.

"I think that it doesn't matter what career my friends have. It just based on the fact that...I can really relate to people who are very driven, and intelligent," she said. "You want to be around, like, smart, exciting people. I think that just brings you up."

Know what else brings you up? Dancing like a fool to "Shake It Off!"
