The actress appeared to be in good spirits and smartly donned a bathing suit for the big moment.
Spelling's two older children, Liam and Stella, were father Dean McDermott's helpers and poured a giant orange tub of freezing cold water on the blonde.
After the initial shock, Spelling nominated her mother to take the challenge herself. The former Beverly Hills, 90120 star's mother has yet to respond.
"My friends Bill & Scout (aka The Guncles) nominated me to take the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise money and awareness for ALS," she explained on her website. "It was freezing cold but totally worth it!"
Spelling is just the latest in a slew of celebrities embracing the social media movement aimed to raise money towards the ALS Association.
Over the weekend, dozens of celebrities—including Jennifer Lopez, Nina Dobrev and James Van Der Beek—poured buckets of ice water over their heads to raise awareness for Lou Gehrig's disease.
And since then, Ben Affleck, Iggy Azalea, Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Nina Dobrev, Arrow's Emily Bett Rickards and Colton Haynes, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, James Van Der Beek, Oprah Winfrey, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne, Taylor Swift and many, many more have joined in on the fun for a good cause.
