This is just so sad and beautiful.
Months before his recent death, Robin Williams recorded a video for a terminally-ill 21-year-old New Zealand woman named Vivian Waller, who had named him on a bucket list of five things she wanted to do before she died, according to local newspaper The Sunday Star Times, as seen on website Stuff.co.nz.
"Sending all my love to you, Jack and Sophie," the beloved actor says in the video, "Mark this off your bucket list."
In the clip, Williams, a longtime impressionist, mimics a Kiwi accent as well as Matthew McConaughey and blows Waller a kiss.
Waller is currently in a hospice and is suffering from lung, bowel and liver cancer, the outlet said. The items on her bucket list included watching her daughter, Sophie, celebrate her first birthday and meeting Williams. The newspaper added that she was too ill to travel to the United States and that the actor emailed her family the video earlier this year after her friend reached out to him.
Williams died at age 63 at his home in Northern California on Monday. He had taken his own life. Williams had battled depression and had also been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, which is incurable.
On the day he died, Waller's family paid tribute to him on their Facebook page, calling him a "wonderful man" and "incredible actor."
success!
