Kate Mara's mood ring must have been a fiery shade of red this week, because the 31-year-old actress is back to being a redhead.

Kate debuted her newly dyed cinnamon tresses at the Television Academy's pre-Emmys party in Los Angeles Thursday night. And while we loved her blond hair while it lasted, this darker look really suits her.

Not to mention, it's perfect for fall. We like the idea of staying blond for summer and then darkening it up by the end of August. Kate paired her new style with a studded black jacket and skinny jeans while out at the pre-Emmys celebration last night.

Clearly Kate is embracing the new season. Maybe she can give us some advice on how to deal with summer almost being over. We're still in denial!
