Norman Reedus had gotten himself a new side gig that does not appear to involve killing zombies (or squirrels) with a crossbow, but is just as kick-ass!

The actor, best known for his role as Daryl Dixon on AMC's The Walking Dead, lends his voice and likeness (including his piercing stare) to a new Silent Hill video game.

The upcoming installment in the horror franchise was revealed at the Gamescom conference in Cologne, Germany earlier this week, according to Variety, and a teaser video showing Reedus has been released.

The game, titled Silent Hill, is being developed by Pacific Rim and Hellboy director Guillermo del Toro and Metal Gear video game franchise creator Hideo Kojima.

A release date has not been announced. The last Silent Hill video game, Silent Hill: Book of Memories, hit stores in 2012.

Reedus, who is also known for his role in the cult Boondock Saints films, commands a huge online fan following that has grown amid the success of The Walking Dead, which begins its fifth season this October (check out spoilers and rumors).

In addition to his regular TV gig and his new Silent Hill role, Reedus can also be seen next on the big screen, in the films Air, a sci-fi thriller, and Triple Nine, a 2015 crime drama starring Kate Winslet, Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul and "Wonder Woman" Gal Gadot.
