Things were finally starting to calm down and get normal again for Carter (Kathryn Prescott) on Finding Carter, MTV's kidnapping/family drama (and our newest obsession).

She's started to bond with her birth mother Elizabeth (Cynthia Watros) now that the cop promised to stop hunting down Lori (Milena Govich), the woman who kidnapped and raised Carter like her own daughter. She's started to treat her newly discovered twin Taylor (Anna Jacoby-Heron) like a real sister. She's made real friends at her new school. She's even got herself a hot new boyfriend. Things are finally good for Carter after her life got turned upside down in the series premiere.

But you know what that means, right? Even more drama is on the horizon, and we've got the exclusive midseason trailer showing just how much things are about to explode for this family that's already been through so much.

Watch the video above now to see what's coming for the rest of the season! (Trust us, the drama is only just beginning.)

MTV

From Elizabeth's affair with her partner coming to light, to Carter getting arrested for something her so-called best friend Bird (Vanessa Morgan) did, to Max (Alex Saxon) and Taylor going all the way, to Lori talking to David (Alexis Denisof) on the phone (?!), it's clear from this trailer that "normal" will never be something this family can achieve. At least not this season!

And that's just how we like it. (Does that make us bad people? Oops.)

Finding Carter airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on MTV.
