Selfie is your new favorite comedy. Just come to terms with that now.

Starring the incredibly charming duo of Karen Gillan and John Cho with Suburgatory's Emily Kapnek behind the camera, Selfie is a modern day take on My Fair Lady. Stop groaning, it's not like it sounds. Well, it is like it sounds.

Gillan plays a self-obsessed social media fanatic named Eliza Dooley who makes a deal with Cho's Henry Higgenbottam to help make her over after she quickly realizes she has no true friends. But once you get past the name and elevator-pitch premise, Selfie is full of heart and humor.

Gillan, best known for her role as one of the Doctor's companions on Doctor Who, is a born star. Just try not to laugh at her character's inability to greet people properly. "How are youuuu?"

Kapnek's signature quirky voice that could be felt throughout Suburgatory, Parks and Recreation and As Told by Ginger is very present and brought to life expertly by the two leads. The wit is quick and the laughs are plenty. While some people may find the fact Gillan's hiding her Scottish accent a crime, her Valley girl speak fits perfectly with the awkward character.

Selfie sets up a long journey for Eliza and Henry, one we hope ABC will let us go on.

And just a warning, there is a prolonged vomit scene in the very opening of the show. Like, a lot of puke. Just be warned.

Selfie premieres Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
