Girl meets Season 2!

Parents and kids alike, rejoice: Girl Meets World is coming back for a second season! Even though season one hasn't even finished airing yet, Disney Channel has officially ordered a second season of the Boy Meets World sequel, and we couldn't be more excited.

Girl Meets World, which follows the pre-teen life of Riley (Rowan Blanchard), the teenage daughter of Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel), premiered last month to 5.2 million viewers, and a whole lot of buzz from fans both young and old. Since the pilot, the show has averaged around 3 million viewers per episode, and has ranked as one of the top kids' shows on TV.

"The series swiftly became a favorite of kids and their parents, many of whom grew up with 'Boy Meets World,'" said Adam Bonnett, Executive Vice President of Original Programming at Disney Channel. "We're looking forward to watching Riley Matthews and Maya Hart make the world their own, as Cory and Topanga teach them life lessons along the way."

Mr. Feeny (William Daniels) has already made an appearance in the series premiere, and we can expect (highly anticipated) visits from Minkus (Lee Norris), who will pop up in the Aug. 15 outing, and Shawn (Rider Strong) later this season.

Hopefully, Season 2 will bring us even more beloved Boy Meets World characters and references, while also continuing to give a whole new generation of kids reasons to shout things like "Topanga!" and "Underpants!"

Girl Meets World airs Fridays at 8:30 p.m. on the Disney Channel.
