Well, not exactly, but the duo did welcome a "big baby boy" to the family—namely, a horse called Eagle.
"Proud new dad... What amazing creatures they are. Wow. His name is Eagle. Thank you @iamnikkireed for snapping this special moment, with our big baby boy," the Vampire Diares hottie captioned a pic in which he's hugging the couple's new stallion with look of love in his eyes.
While Reed has yet to respond to the sweet message from her man, she recently wrapped production on The Sunday Horse, and it seems that her time on set inspired the Twilight beauty to take up horseback riding—a hobby she's apparently passed on to her beau (who we know is an avid animal lover).

Fans of the vamptastic duo were first treated to a real-life coupling of the longtime friends when the pair was spotted getting cozy at an L.A. Farmers market late last month. And just one day later, a source told E! News that the Ian and Nikki's romance is heating up quickly.
"[They are] smitten with each other and love spending time together," the insider dished.
As for further evidence that the couple's relationship is on the fast track? The 26-year-old beauty and the 35-year-old stud couldn't hide their affection for each other at a Comic Con bash last month, where they were spotted kissing and holding hands.
"They were so together," the insider said. Another source told E! News Somerhalder and Reed "were hot and heavy," adding that "they weren't hiding their PDA at all."
This isn't first time the two have taken their love to social media. Somerhalder previously took to Twitter to give his girl a shout-out after she asked her followers to help find a homeless dog a new family.
Meanwhile, Ian's ex Nina Dobrev, who split with her Vampire Diaries costar in May 2013 after nearly three years of dating, seems entirely unfazed by the pair's budding romance—despite the fact that Nikki and Nina were gal-pals long before Somerhalder and Reed coupled up.
She most recently poked fun at speculation surrounding her love life after romance rumors were sparked at Comic-Con. "Apparently I have SOOOO many boyfriends. Here's four more," she Tweeted Sunday night with a picture of costars Steven R McQueen, Zach Roerig, Joseph Morgan and Matt Davis. "I'm so busy. #TabloidSillyness."
Still, don't expect Dobrev to settle down anytime soon. "Nina is loving single life," a source told E! News. "She is definitely enjoying herself right now."
As for Reed? The brunette beauty filed for divorce in May after two years of marriage to singer-songwriter Paul McDonald, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. Just two months earlier, the former couple announced that they had separated and had been living apart for six months, though they continued to work on an album together, which they recently released.
