Looks like Liam Payne is having the last laugh.

After the One Direction singer was photographed shirtless while vacationing in the South of France with girlfriend Sophia Smith, the pop star stuffed his shirt and took a selfie Saturday. "I mean OH MY GOD I'm just so fat these days I think I need help!" he wrote in the Instagram caption. "Quick someone take the cookie jar."

Payne took it a step further by Instagramming a screenshot of his Body Miss Index (BMI) score Sunday.

"Now just because I'm sick of seeing this everyday so I just want to clear up what the media do to people these days. Is it wrong to be normal? Or do I have to look like an Olympic swimmer just to get your approval into the cool kids or can I accept that the person I truly love thinks I'm the coolest kid in town anyway? Think I'll vote the second one," Payne told his 2.16 million Instagram followers. "Enjoy your day people."

To no one's surprise, 1D fans swiftly offered support. "Liam you are beautiful no matter what other people say," one fan wrote. Another admirer echoed those sentiments, telling the "Kiss You" singer, "Liam, people are idiots. You're perfect just the way you are. Just remember that we love you, and that your family loves you, and that your beautiful girlfriend loves you. If you are happy with yourself, then everyone else who truly cares about you will be too. Those things are what matters overall."

NEWS: Did Liam Payne leak his own full-frontal nude pic?!

This isn't the first time the 20-year-old musician has publicly stood up to body bullies.

In March, he tweeted, "Lol just seen on twitter people think I'm fat? now I've never been called that before nice, on my way to mcdonalds then I'm off to fat camp." Payne referenced Miley Cyrus when he jokingly told his 17.6 million Twitter followers, "I'm so fat that when i twerk I become a wrecking ball."
