Dominic Purcell is often on the run on TV. In real life, he's on the market.

The 37-year-old Prison Break star has separated from wife Rebecca Williamson, a Fox spokesperson confirmed Monday to E! News. They have four children together.

"The separation is completely amicable, and they remain friends," a rep for the pair said.

On Prison Break, Purcell plays Lincoln Burrows, the target of the season-one frame-up that prompted brother Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) to tattoo the schematics of a federal penitentiary all over his body and get himself busted for armed robbery in order to break Burrows out before his scheduled execution.

Season three of the Fox drama finds the vindicated Burrows a free man and Michael locked up in Panama on a homicide rap, meaning it's big brother to the rescue this time around.

Purcell, who also starred in the short-lived Fox mystery John Doe as a genius with amnesia, appears next in the Joel Schumacher-directed thriller Town Creek.
