Sorry ladies, but George Clooney is gushing over his fiancée yet again.

In a new interview with Variety, the actor drops a huge compliment when briefly discussing his engagement to Amal Alamuddin.

"I'm marrying up," he proclaims with regard to his activist-lawyer-author bride-to-be.

The happy couple, who went public with their romance in October 2013, have been engaged for almost three months. A wedding date has yet to be announced, but the speculation over when and where has long since begun. (Lake Como is in the lead as far as destination goes.)

But while Clooney has plenty of good things to say about his partner, his thoughts on the Daily Mail are another story.

Clooney became outraged after the British tabloid claimed Alamuddin's mother objected to the couple's upcoming marriage because of cultural differences. As a result, he set the record straight in an op-ed published by USA Today.

"It's just fun to slap those bad guys every once in a while, knock ‘em around," he told Variety. "Those are really bad guys and they do tend to tee off on everybody."

"Every day they write things that aren't true, but every once in a while they write something that is actually dangerous to your family," Clooney added. "And it's probably not true."

What appears to be entirely true is his and Alamuddin's love for one another.

Earlier this month, the lovebirds looked smitten with each other during a romantic dinner date in Italy.  In fact, a source told E! News that Alamuddin was smiling the entire time and seemed to be hanging on his every word.
