Does Rose McGowan look like the King of Pop? She certainly doesn't think so.
On Tuesday, the Jawbreaker actress posted a picture of herself wearing sunglasses, with the simple caption, "Afghanistan." One Instagram user commented, "You look like Michael Jackson." Yet another Instagram user echoed that notion, telling McGowan, "#michaeljackson no more plastic surgery please!"
McGowan immediately replied to the second user, writing, "@katrinabunny coming from, ummm, you." The actress, who got reconstructive surgery after being in a car accident in 2007, continued to fire back, asking, "Has anyone stopped to think that Michael Jackson used to be black, and tried to turn himself into a white, possibly Irish person with a cleft chin and a tiny nose? I was born Irish. So f--k off losers."
(Long before his death in June 2009, Jackson was diagnosed with vitiligo, a skin pigmentation disease.)
McGowan's comments didn't sit well with the late singer's fans. "Wait...Michael Jackson USED to be black and tried to make himself white? Did she really just say that?" a befuddled Instagram user asked.
Some commenters came to her defense, but McGowan was still clearly upset. She then posted side-by-side pictures of Jackson before and after his surgeries. In the caption, she wrote, "Exactly. You dumb f--ks. Eat it."
It was a rough day for McGowan. Shortly before she posted the "Afghanistan" picture, she told her Twitter followers about two beauty mishaps. "NYC what is up?! Not only did I just get the worst haircut of my life here, but my tooth just broke in half. #feelingpretty #wtf #f--k," she worte. A fan suggested that her new 'do "can't be that bad," but McGowan tweeted back, "Oh, it's bad. Trust. Months worth of bad."
Later that night, the 40-year-old Charmed star posted another selfie on the social networking site. The picture, presumably taken in the back of a cab, was accompanied by a simple caption: "An alien in NY."
