President Barack Obama likes a good joke. Apparently he likes a just kinda OK joke, too.

While trekking through Texas last week, Obama stopped by Franklin's Barbeque, an infamous BBQ joint in Austin, and cut to the front of the hours-long line. (Not great, especially since this took place shortly after he breached the Chipotle sneeze guard. But hey, he apologized and bought $300 worth of BBQ for himself and others, so let's forgive the man.)

Plus, he made at least one cashier's day:

"It was just a lucky day to be the register girl," Daniel Rugg Webb explained to The Austin Chronicle. Webb said he, like the rest of the staff, knew Obama would be coming in, so Daniel prepared something to say.

From The Chronicle:

As the president approached, Webb threw his hand down and slapped the counter dramatically. "Equal rights for gay people!"

"Are you gay?" the president asked.

"Only when I have sex."

"That's when he laughed and said, 'Bump me.'" Webb continued. (Listen, we enjoy the sentiment of the equal rights part—gay people should have equal rights—but it's not the funniest joke we've ever heard. Sorry? We're not sure it actually makes sense?)

Anyway, "That's my favorite part because it was cool to get a joke in," Webb says. "I do stand-up, so it was nice to have some interaction based on, hopefully, something funny."

In the end, Webb was just happy it was President Obama who came for in: "If Rick Perry would've walked in, I would have lost my job. I would've taken that old queen to town."

Not that's shade worthy of a fist bump.
