Paradise indeed!

Bachelor in Paradise, the ABC hit franchise's latest spinoff that finds fomer contestants heading to Tulum, Mexico, to find love with their fellow Bachelor alums, has the most gorgeous set on TV. And the best thing about it? It's real. And we were there. And we were basically forced to leave by security after they found us hiding under a couch in attempt to stay forever.

Still, that didn't stop us from getting production designer Angelic Rutherford, who has worked on The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad and now Bachelor in Paradise, since 2003, on the phone to get all the scoop on how she and her team created this setting so romantic you have to see it to believe it.

"We were all really excited to shoot the show in a different location besides the Bachelor mansion," Rutherford told us of heading to Tulum for BIP. "I always love designing the inside of that house, but this was a whole different show with a whole different design vibe, and this was the opportunity to give it its own design."

And Rutherford only had 12 days (!) to put together Bachelor in Paradise's set, which was full of Mexican blankets from the streets of Tulum and custom-made furniture, made with driftwood found on the beaches.  The end result? Basically, we're expecting to see a whole lot of true love on Bachelor in Paradise with the contestants because it's impossible not to fall in love in a setting this gorgeous.

To get more inside info from Rutherford, including just how many blankets were used and the small details viewers might miss if they aren't paying close attention, click through our gallery below of the most gorgeous set you'll see on TV this summer!
