For Ciara, this past year has to rank as the busiest of her life.
She got engaged to her boyfriend Future (remember that gargantuan 15-carat diamond ring?) and she just gave birth to her son, Future Jr., back in May.
And now the new mom graces the August-September issue of Brides magazine looking utterly dreamy in romantic waves and a Chantilly lace Reem Acra gown.
The 28-year-old singer gets candid in the mag, opening up about her fiancé, her wedding plans and what she looks forward to most in marriage.
In fact, talking about meeting her husband-to-be got her so emotional that she started to tear up. "I can't believe I'm crying!" she said and added, "I knew right away that he was different. Now he's my best friend in the world, my partner."
As for what her wedding will look like, Ciara revealed a few key clues. "There will be five or six [bridesmaids] and two matrons of honor [including La La Anthony]. They'll all wear the same color, but in different styles to suit their personalities," she explained.
Also, Ciara dished that a few of her industry pals will perform during the reception. "A few of our friends will sing, and we'll have a great DJ—good old soul mixed with new stuff," she said. "You want people to say, ‘This is my jam!'"
As for what her wedding style will be, don't expect Ciara to go all cookie-cutter on us. "For my wedding, I'm going to do elegance with a little edge." We wouldn't expect any less!
