Jennifer Lopez famously portrayed the late Latin singer Selena early in her career and now, the 44-year-old star wants another Selena to follow in her acting footsteps.

While speaking with Sirius XM radio, the "I Luv Ya Papi" singer was asked who she would pick to portray her in a biopic about her life. After Lopez couldn't come up with a response (after all, she was put on the spot!), she asked the host for any ideas, at which point someone suggested Selena Gomez.

"She's a cutie," Lopez replied. "Yeah, maybe, I don't know."

Sounds like a perfect plan, considering the two stars are both triple threats with Latin heritage and they've even started to dress alike!

This isn't the first time the 21-year-old pop star has been compared to the American Idol judge.

Jason Evigan, the producer of Gomez's album Stars Dance previously predicted that the former Disney darling would become the next Jennifer Lopez.

"I kind of feel she's going to be like a new J.Lo kind of thing," he told MTV.

Meanwhile, the newly single songstress was also asked whether she has any new love interests amid reports that things are heating up between the recording artist and Dancing With the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

"I'm good right now," the brunette beauty, who recently split with Casper Smart after three and a half years of dating, said. "Let's just say we just got out of a relationship and there needs to be time for reflection and alone time so for sure that's where I'm at right now."

As for her biggest turn-offs?

"I don't like pretention at all," she revealed. "I don't like anything that false. Like most people, you want somebody who's just real, but also, I like to laugh. I like someone who's funny, who can make me laugh. I don't know. There are a lot of things. They've got to be good."

Are you listening, all you single men?
