Anna Wintour Throws Fabulous Wedding for Son Charlie Shaffer and His Bride, Elizabeth Cordry, at Her Long Island Estate: See the Pics!

The images looked as if they were ripped from the pages of...well, Vogue of course!

So this is what the insider-iest of insider fashion weddings look like—a photogenic dream sprung to life in one's own backyard.

Anna Wintour's son Charlie Shaffer married Elizabeth Cordry at the Vogue editor in chief's estate in Mastic, Long Island on Saturday and, as if there was any doubt, the guests' Instagram photos look as if they could be ripped from the pages of, well...

André Leon Talley, designers Prabal Gurung and Oscar de la Renta, photographer Mario Testino, luxury fashion exec Indre Rockefeller and Vogue West Coast editor Lisa Love were among the industry heavy hitters in attendance. The guests were also given the green light to share pics with the hashtag "#masticinlove," making an unofficial wedding album instantly doable.

And we thank them for that!

"Here's to forever!! Mr & Mrs. Shaffer," Gurung captioned a pic of the de la Renta-wearing bride and Burberry-clad groom taking their vows, Cordry's intricately embroidered  lace gown on full display, her train and full-length veil extending behind her.

Cordry shared a moment with de la Renta before walking down the aisle, a chance for the fashion icon to both tell the bride she looked amazing and making sure that her entire look remained picture-perfect.

The wedding party included best man Nick Brown, bridesmaids in Prada, and six equally adorable flower girls in matching Alexander McQueen dresses and custom Marie-Chantal ballet flats, all wearing garlands on their heads.

A string quartet played during the ceremony and Chelsea Leyland deejayed the reception.

 

A number of guests shared a photo of the couple's first dance, the newlyweds bathed in light against a night sky back drop.

There were noticeably no pics of the mother of the groom—according to the New York Post, Wintour wore Chanel.

Not Prada.

A day later, Liz Shaffer (née Cordry) Instagrammed a selfie with her new hubby, captioned, "Tired but happy! En route to the Rockies... Thanks so much to everyone who made last night so special!"

Per their New York Times wedding announcement, Charlie and Liz met when they were students at Oxford University. The groom, 28, is a third-year medical student at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, while the 27-year-old bride is the associate director of product development at the in-development, Jet.com, based in Montclair, N.J.
