One of Hollywood's famous bromances appears to be going strong!

Retired soccer star David Beckham, 39, and Tom Cruise, 51, recently hung out and had drinks at The Cow pub in London, located near the posh neighborhood of Notting Hill. Several patrons photographed the two, who were engrossed in conversation and appeared to pay no attention a bit of drama seemingly spurred by their presence, E! News has learned.

Cruise and Beckham sat on the same side in a corner table. They appeared to share a bottle of red wine, while David also had a pint of what looks like Guinness beer and Tom had a glass of water with a lemon wedge. A similar drink rests on the opposite side of the table. A source told E! News that the two drank red wine by themselves and no security guards or other members of a potential entourage were spotted.

According to the source, at one point, a confrontation erupted between a customer and another patron who tried to snap his own photo of the pair.

"Tom Cruise and David didn't pay any attention and continued talking," the source said. "The trouble eventually died down. The two seemed to be having a great time, enjoying their drinks and talking,"

"Another Monday night at the pub with David and Tom #cruise #beckham #thecow #london #igavethemmytable," Instagram user fragglerock80 posted on Monday, alongside another photo of the two at The Cow.

Cruise, who is preparing to film Mission: Impossible 5 in London, and Beckham met in the early 2000s and have often hung out together, mainly with their families. Sports Illustrated journalist Grant Wahl said in his 2009 book, The Beckham Experiment: How the World's Most Famous Athlete Tried to Conquer America, that David told him that the actor inspired the name of his and Victoria's youngest son Cruz, who was born in 2005.

"I must admit, when we met Tom, I remember turning around to Victoria and saying, 'Cruise is a great name, but we could spell it different,'" the writer quoted David as saying. "And also living in Spain, Cruz spelled the way it is is Spanish. So that's why we got it."

In 2007, Cruise and then-wife Katie Holmes attended one of Real Madrid's matches when David played for the Spanish soccer team. His wife, Spice Girls singer and fashion designer Victoria Beckham, was a guest at couple's the 2006 wedding (her husband was unable to make it due to a game).

When Posh & Becks moved to Los Angeles later in 2007, after the soccer star joined the L.A. Galaxy team, Cruise and Will Smith threw them a welcome party, which was also attended by celebrities such as Brooke ShieldsEva LongoriaBruce Willis, Willis' ex-wife Demi Moore and her then-husband Ashton Kutcher, and Jim Carrey and then-girlfriend Jenny McCarthy.

Over the next couple of years, Cruise and Holmes would often be spotted at L.A. Galaxy games. The couple and daughter Suri also hung out with the Beckhams and their kids. In March 2011, Cruise and Beckham were photographed seemingly running into each other at a Los Angeles Lakers game, with their sons. In February 2012, Cruise, Holmes and David and Victoria hung out together at Vanity Fair's post-Oscars party. That June, Holmes announced she had filed for divorce.

Following the famous couple's split, Cruise and Beckham were not photographed together until May 2013, when David, Victoria and their sons RomeoBrooklyn and Cruz and baby daughter, attended an NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs game at Staples Center in Los Angeles with Tom and his and ex-wife Nicole Kidman's son Connor Cruise.
