Sometimes an invention comes along that makes you rethink everything you've learned and everything you know. Today is one of those days.

When Reddit user chiiza asked her boyfriend what he wanted for his birthday celebration and he said a pizza cake, she accepted the challenge and conquered the hell out of it.

She isn't the first person to come up with this delicious artery-clogger in cake form. This past April, Canada's Boston Pizza had a pizza fantasy competition, and the six-layer pizza cake easily took home all the votes.

So what is the pizza cake? It's exactly what it sounds like. It's layers of crust with toppings and sauce in between, "just like making a lasagna," she wrote. From prep time to the end of bake time, the whole "heavenly" experiment took 90 minutes.

So what did her boyfriend think of his birthday cake? Well…

"Safe to say he really enjoyed it!" she reported. "I urge everyone to try this once, but I have to say…the food hangover is strong with this one. Good luck with your bellies!"

If you want to tackle the pizza cake, this is the recipe she used.

Meanwhile, only one person was brave enough to actually attempt our own food mashups. We're still waiting on that Churnnoli, world! Get off your ass and cook!
