No pants, no problem!
The Today show co-host Matt Lauer bore some extra skin in a leggy shorts suit on his talk show this morning. But don't get too excited about the 56-year-old's new style—Lauer was just being a good sport by modeling the latest trend in menswear.
Along with Laurer, co-host Willie Geist showed off Pitbull's rolled-up white pants from the World Cup Opening Ceremony. And we think co-host Al Roker got off way too easy sporting the sneakers-and-suits trend a la Justin Timberlake.
Let's rewind to Lauer's thigh-friendly ensemble—the formal shorts suit was first popularized by Pharrell Williams back in 2012 when he wore a camo version, and again in 2014 when the "Happy" singer wore a Lanvin shorts suit to this year's Oscars.
To those who'd criticize Lauer's calf-baring look, all we have to say is this: at least he wasn't wearing one of Pharrell's ginormous hats.
