Lifetime has added another R&B biopic to their future schedule.

Following their announcement of a Whitney Houston tribute movie, the cable network is ready to pay homage to another late songstress. Lifetime revealed Monday that Disney darling Zendaya Coleman has been tapped to portray Aaliyah, the beloved '90s singer who lost her life in a plane crash when she was just 22-years-old.

Tentatively titled, Aaliyah: Princess of R&B, the upcoming biopic will be based off of Christopher Farley's best-selling biography Aaliyah: More Than a Woman. The made-for-TV-movie will follow Aaliya's journey from her debut on Star Search to her rise to her fame and, finally, her tragic passing

Coleman, who currently stars in Disney's hit series Shake It Up!, is also a singer and released a self-titled debut in 2013, with the first single selling more than 1 million copies. As of now, the Dancing With the Stars alum is set to record four of Aaliyah's hit songs for the film.

Aaliyah: Princess of R&B will shoot this summer and is set to premiere on Lifetime in the fall.
