Before Peter Dinklage was Tyrion Lannister, he was just another high school kid.

A Reddit user dug up the Game of Thrones star's 1987 yearbook photo, and as you can see, Dinklage was rocking quite a mullet back in the day!

The locks didn't let up when he graduated either. In fact, as a pal revealed to Esquire earlier this year, Dinklage had "long flowing hair" during his days at Bennington College. "The hair was unbelievable," added his buddy, "like total hippie hair."

At some point after college, though, Dinklage figured out his 'do! But he wasn't just taming his tresses in the '90s—he was working on his résumé. The now 44-year-old star made his film debut in 1995, starring as a frustrated actor with dwarfism in Living in Oblivion.

He continued to work after that, taking bit parts on varying TV shows, but his breakthrough role came with 2003's The Station Agent. Since then, he's appeared in multiple works, including Elf, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Perhaps coolest of all, he's played Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones since 2011, a role which has earned him both an Emmy and Golden Globe Award for Supporting Actor.

Just goes to show you should never judge a man by his mullet!
