It's like the invite to the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic said "Black and White Sundresses and Straw Hats Required."
Dakota Johnson and Lupita Nyong'o look like they would be working the event (as the world's best dressed waitresses) in their matching warm weather wear. We couldn't be bigger fans of both these looks or the talented women modeling them, which makes this less of a battle and more of a gush session where we're forced to pick a winner.
First up is the Fifty Shades of Grey star in her breezy Diane Von Furstenberg. The cut has a youthful feel without making this starlet look like a little girl, and the modern polka dot shape has the same effect. But are her Jimmy Choo flats the right choice or would a wedge create a better line? And what about that barber shop quartet head topper? Is the contrasting color too much?
The Academy Award winner offers a highly competitive combo. Her Alexander McQueen cocktail frock is slightly more fitted, making it slightly less fun. Plus, now that we see a matching vs. opposite-colored hat, we're not sure how we feel. On the one hand, the Kenyan beauty looks more put together, but it's a slightly more one-note result.
Dakota just feels like she stepped out of a time machine from 1920, and yet she's still dressed for 2014. That makes her the winner in our book. What's your take?
