Just kidding. Per usually, the designer had some groundbreaking thoughts on the world of fashion in a recent interview with Style.com.
"Something new is happening that I'm just clueing into now—this probably won't go down well—but customers don't care any more about reviews or hard-copy publications. They care what picture Rihanna just Instagrammed while she's naked in bed, what new shoes she has on, how she's talking about them. That's what they respond to," the CFDA Lifetime Achievement Award honoree shared.
That's right, the 52-year-old is stating that @BadGalRiRi's photos are more influential than any fashion reviews. (Sorry, Cathy Horyn!)
But alas, Rihanna's account is no more. After being censored (by mistake?) earlier this month, the singer has left her page inactive, much to the world's dismay. But, let's not give up, folks! Perhaps Mr. Ford's comment will spur the pop star into returning to the selfie-heavy forum. She did respond to his interview by tweeting a link to the piece with the comment: "He gets it!" So one can only hope, he also gets her back on Instagram.
