True Detective season two is all about Charlie's Angels!

Not really, but we do know a few things now about how the buzziest of all buzz shows is shaping up for season two—sans Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey.

True Detective's season two cast is expected to be female-centric, and we also now know there will be three leads.

Creator Nic Pizzicato has dropped a few tantalizing hints to the NPR program, To the Best of Our Knowledge, about season two's setting, premise and brand new characters, and revealed that  "The characters are all new, but I'm deeply in love with each of them. We've got the entire series broken out with a couple of scripts, and we'll probably start casting in earnest in the coming months."

Naturally, the geniuses of Twitter have already come up with some hilarious combinations, from the gals of Hocus Pocus, to the ladies of Friends. Our pick, though, is the "Emma Trifecta": Emma Stone, Emma Watson, and Emma Thompson. (You are welcome for that brilliant casting idea, HBO. Get that check in the mail, won't you?)

Here's what else we know about season two:

The Setting: Say goodbye to the deep south, because next season we'll be traveling west for our next big case. "It takes place in California," Pizzicato spilled. "Not Los Angeles, but some of the much lesser known venues of California—and we're going to try to capture a certain psychosphere ambiance of the place, much like we did in season one." Hey, if this next season is just as beautifully shot as the first, we'd be happy if it were set in a dumpster.

The Premise: While season one followed two estranged Louisiana investigators, Matthew McConaughey's Rust and Woody Harrelson's Marty, as they tried to solve a 17-year-old murder case, season two will have much more of a female presence. Naturally, intimate details surrounding the premise are being kept very hush-hush for now. However, Pizzicato recently revealed to HitFix that the new season of True Detective would be about "hard women, bad men and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system."

The Stars: Although fans were in a frenzy when rumors swirled that Jessica Chastain had been tapped to play one of the female leads, the Zero Dark Thirty star confirmed to The Washington Post that this is not the case. "I love Woody Harrelson, and I'm gonna watch the second season just like I watched every episode of the first," the actress said. "But I won't be on it."

So back to that Emma trifecta idea...
