Xposure/AKM-GSIIt's official: Dougie Poynter is dating Ellie Goulding.
After months of speculation, the 26-year-old McFly singer confirmed the news while speaking with Fearne Cotton during last night's ITV2 documentary Fearne and McBusted.
When asked whether he's in a relationship with the "Burn" singer, Poynter admitted, "Yeah. All is good in that area."
He remained mum on any further details regarding the duo's relationship, adding that he likes to keep his personal life private.
Goulding has yet to address her boyfriend's comments and has remained tight-lipped when it comes to the couple's romance.
This is the first time that either party has copped to their relationship status.
In fact, Goulding proudly professed that she's single and doesn't "need a guy" in the April issue of Cosmopolitan magazine.
"I [used to] put men on a pedestal," Goulding, who previously dated EDM DJ Skrillex, admitted to the publication. "They'd be everything. I decided to remedy that, and that's why I'm single now. I've realized I don't need a guy. I've got amazing, awesome, stupid friends in the best way possible."
The 27-year-old songstress also admitted that she's learned a lot from her past relationships and the heartache that followed.
"A lot of despair in breaking up with someone is thinking about how you're going to cope in the future," she said. "But not being completely present prevents you from being happy and alive. As soon as you stop relying so heavily on what happened in the past, you end up being able to deal."
In addition to Skrillex, Goulding has been previously romantically linked to One Direction stud Niall Horan, Radio 1 DJ Greg James as well as Ed Sheeran, who confirmed the pair briefly dated last summer.
