True Blood, Season 7

HBO

True Blood's final season looks to be a sexy, bloody and scary good time if this new trailer is any indication. Sookie Stackhouse has a lot of explaining to do.

In the trailer below, Bon Temps looks to be ravaged. Vampires with Hep-V are terrorizing the community and Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) is at the center of it all. "People blame me for what's happened to this town," Sookie says in the trailer. "I can't take anybody else dying because of me."

The trailer features lots of guns, swords, fire and sexy vampires and werewolves in various stages of undress. What did you expect? It is True Blood, after all.

"There is a purpose for everything," ghost Adele (Lois Smith) tells Sookie. "That purpose will be revealed when the time is right."

It looks like nobody is safe, and given True Blood's track record and the fact that it's the final season, it's time to get nervous about the fate of your favorite character.

"Looks like the past has caught up with the present," Bill (Stephen Moyer) says.

The final season of True Blood premieres Sunday, June 22 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
