Mariah Carey may be a seasoned pro, but even the best singers flub a lyric or two.
Well, that's just what happened to the Grammy winner while performing her classic tune, "Always Be My Baby," on Friday's Today show.
However, rather than getting flustered, the 44-year-old songstress simply poked fun at herself.
When Carey slightly stumbled during the song's chorus, she proceeded to simply playfully improvise and sang, "Messing up the words to my own song / And I don't care."

Meanwhile, Carey also belted out the new song "You Don't Know What to Do" off her upcoming album, Me. I Am Mariah...The Elusive Chanteuse, alongside the track's featured artist, rapper Wale.
In a word. Hit.
The debut of "You Don't Know What to Do" comes on the heels of another new album track—"Thirsty"— that was unveiled earlier this week.
(E! and Today are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
