Jon Stewart, Jessica Williams, The Daily Show

Comedy Central

Jon Stewart may find the media's constant reporting on Solange and Jay-Z's elevator fight a bit ridiculous, but that doesn't mean he doesn't want to get to the bottom of it, too.

In an effort to figure out what the heck happened (you could also find out here, Jon), The Daily Show funnyman brought in senior Beyoncé correspondent Jessica Williams to share her theories on what happened. Oh wait, did we say theories?

"I'm senior Beyonce correspondent, I don't need theories. I know," Williams told Stewart and then explained what she thought was the motive behind the buzzed-about footage. "That so-called security cam footage is nothing but another brilliant Queen B viral marketing campaign. So well done, Hov and B."

Williams then goes on to note that Bey's lack of movement is what tipped her off.

"Didn't you notice anything weird about that video ... Something weird about Beyoncé? She's standing still."

She continued, "This is Beyoncé. It doesn't matter what she's wearing, Beyoncé is never not moving. The woman is pure kinetic energy personified. If that elevator video were real, she'd be all up in it, arms waving, feet flying, fists pumping, booty bumping. She'd be like a Ninja Turtle meets a Rockette. It would be physically out of control."

"But if the elevator video is a promotional stunt, what is it promoting?" Stewart asked.

The answer might surprise you. Watch the clip to see what it is!
