After 17 years as partners and winning a gold medal together, has Dancing With the Stars ended Charlie White and Meryl Davis' friendship?!

The fan favorite Olympic ice dancing duo found themselves in the bottom two on the ABC reality hit on Monday night, with Charlie and Sharna Burgess finding themselves ousted from the ballroom in the penultimate episode of Season 18.

But fret not, Charlie and Meryl lovers, as there are no hard feelings! "No, not at all!" Charlie told E! News backstage after the show when we asked if he was hoping it was Meryl who was sent home.

And Charlie is "not happy" with DWTS' producers for pitting the friends against each other in the bottom two, saying it felt "contrived." Woah!

"The thing is, you don't know if it's always the bottom two," Charlie explained. "Honestly to me, that felt contrived. I wasn't happy that they pitted me against Meryl like that."

But Charlie isn't too worried about it, as he told us, "I think our love triumphs over what makes for an interesting moment. I love that girl. We have been through 27 years and won an Olympic gold medal."

All together now: Aww!

An early frontrunner to win the competition, White admitted he was "disappointed" not to make it to next week's finale.

"I'm disappointed because we had a few more special tricks up our sleeve for the finale and certainly getting close, it's tough," he said, with Sharna adding they were "saving" the best for last when it came to their dancing.

"I guess that's a lesson learned: don't save anything until the end," she said.
