Lake Bell "Peed on a Stick" and Learned She Was Pregnant on Same Day She Posed Topless for Esquire

Actress said finding out she was with child on day of shoot was "profound"

Here's a photo shoot that mommy-to-be Lake Bell will never forget.

While appearing on Thursday's Jimmy Kimmel Live, show host Jimmy Kimmel held up the May issue of Esquire, on which the 35-year-old actress appears topless on the cover.

When asked if she was pregnant during the shoot, Bell revealed that she actually learned she was with child on the very same day she stripped down for the magazine.

Pointing to the cover, the In a World star said, "This day, before I went to go shoot this, I peed on a stick and found out that I was pregnant."

She added, "So, in my eyes, I'm just like 'holy s--t.' It was profound."

At the end of last month, Bell's rep confirmed to E! News that the actress is expecting her first child with artist husband Scott Campbell. But it was a secret that the couple had clearly been sitting on for a while.

After all, Bell showed of a visible baby bump in a snug red jumpsuit on April 23 at the Vanity Fair party at the Tribeca Film Festival.

She and Campbell met on the set of How to Make It in America, on which he had a cameo as himself, in 2011. They tied the knot last June at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans.

Meanwhile, Bell's latest movie, Million Dollar Arm, hits theaters on May 16.
