Come on, who hasn't ever thought of killing their ex?

That's exactly what Caroline (Candice Accola) wants to do on The Vampire Diaries' all-new episode on Thursday, telling Bonnie (Kat Graham) she's thinking the time has come to off Tyler (Michael Trevino), her ex-BF. Relax, there's a totally sane reason she wants to do it: it's the only way to get ride of Julian, the Traveler who took over his body in last week's episode, for good.

However, there's a slight problem with her plan. In an exclusive sneak peek from Thursday's episode of the CW hit, "Promised Land," Bonnie shares some seriously no-good, very-bad news with her BFF...

The issue with Caroline's plan to kill Julian by killing Tyler? It all hinges on the Other Side and Bonnie's lie that there is a spell to bring people back from the dreaded purgatory.

Yes, Bonnie's finally forced to reveal the truth: "There is no spell. I made it up." Yikes, the truth hurts, doesn't it?

In the episode, viewers will see Bonnie desperately search for way to stop Markos (Raffi Barsoumain) from getting to Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev), who will be forced to hide out in a remote location together, where he will get philosophical about her relationship with Damon (Ian Somerhalder). And fans can expect the final two episodes of the season to be quite action-packed, with Damon being forced to step up and play the hero.

"There's quite a lot of suffering and celebration in the last two episodes," Julie Plec recently teased. "Because of Markos's efforts to make the town of Mystic Falls a magic-free zone and the imminent destruction of the Other Side, lots of lives are in jeopardy and Damon has to, as he says, 'strap on his hero hair.'"

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
