All eyes were on Jessica Simpson over the weekend.

While Sofía Vergara and Irina Shayk covered their curves for the White House Correspondents' Dinner Saturday, Simpson took a different approach. She modeled a strapless Carolina Herrera gown—highlighting her impressive weight loss—and walked the red carpet with her fiancé Eric Johnson, who wore Ralph Lauren. "It's definitely chaotic," she told USA Today of the big event, "and I should not be wearing a train on my dress. I don't know what Ms. Herrera's going to say when I get it back to her."

For the afterparty, Simpson changed looks. She risked a nip slip by wearing a low-cut black dress that also featured a thigh-high slit. "After the prez it's the after party," she wrote in an Instagram caption.

No matter her size, Simpson is known for drawing attention to her cleavage. Ten years ago, her father Joe Simpson told GQ, "Jessica never tries to be sexy. She just is sexy. If you put her in a T-shirt or you put her in a bustier, she's sexy in both. She's got double D's! You can't cover those suckers up!"

Her outfits aside, Simpson and Johnson high-fived each other over the fact that they were out without babies Maxwell, 2, and Ace, 10 months. "It's me and Eric's first date night!" Simpson told USA Today.

The "I Wanna Love You Forever" singer, 33, also shared new details about her long delayed wedding. "We are very close to sending out our invites," said the star, who was previously married to Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006. "Eric's family alone is almost 90 people, so it'll definitely be a big event."

What's next for Simpson, who hasn't released music since the 2010 holiday album Happy Christmas?

"We're building a studio in our house. I bought a house from Ozzy Osbourne, so a lot of the studio was already set up," the blond beauty said. "I want to see what comes out. It's time for me to find that out, and I can't wait for my kids to experience that with me. Even Eric. He's never seen me perform onstage."
