The Fabulist hosted our first ever Instagram competition this year surrounding all things Coachella fashion! Anyone who hashtagged #PopOfCoachella was automatically entered into the running to be a guest editor and our resident Coachella expert on location!
Our winner was Swedish webshop owner, Michaela Westerlund! Take a peek into how she celebrated the hottest and most stylish festival of the year!
Day 1:
Friday morning, my friend Nicole Lundin and I left LA and headed out to Palm Springs early for some tanning and breakfast by the pool at The Viceroy Hotel.
We saw the ever-stylish Whitney Port working on her tan too! We also had to try their famous Cronut dessert, which was amazing.
To plan our outfits for the weekend, we made flat lays—my favorite way to choose an outfit! Everything is from my own shop, StyleGodis!
We drove to our friend's pool party, which was at an incredible house. We made some yummy cocktails, danced and talked about which bands we were excited to see later.
In the afternoon we headed to the festival, where I met up with my intern Julia Comete,who always has the cutest outfits. We had a blast but called it an early night since we had two more days to go!
Day 2:
Nicole and I started our day with an amazing brunch at The Viceroy and Nicole snapped a pic of me in my new favorite StyleGodis lace top.
After brunch, we went into the Guess party—my favorite party every year at Coachella! We met up with my friend Susanne Jonsson who also models for StyleGodis. I loved her new fringe boots from Kitson!
We had so much fun and scored a great goody bag from Guess. I was also thrilled to meet some of my favorite bloggers like Camille, Kristina and Jamie Chung!
After the Guess party, we all went to the Forever21 x Galore Magazine #cranechella party where the DJ was actually playing from up in the air! The DJ was playing great house music, which always gets me in the right mood to dance.
Finally at the festival! I love running around the fields at Coachella at night and going on the Ferris wheel with my girlfriends. Pharrell was definitely my favorite performance, but I also spotted hottie Jared Leto, Vanessa Hudgens as well as Aaron Paul with his gorgeous wife!
Day 3:
On the last day of Coachella, I was wearing an amazing vintage floral jumpsuit that I love (even though it's totally too long for me!) together with a hat, shades and a fringed bag—all from StyleGodis.
After resting by the pool we all went to the Lacoste party, which is always lots of fun! I spotted the beautiful Kendall Jenner sipping on some coconut juice and my favorite model at the moment, Gigi Hadid! We hung out by the pool filled with crocodiles, played miniature golf, had drinks in those cute Lacoste coconuts and ate way too many ice cream sandwiches.
After some dancing at the Lacoste party to Elijah Wood's tunes (I always love when he's the DJ), we went to the festival for a few hours. Susanne was wearing the perfect denim overalls from Topshop that I need to get!
We all had a fun last night before it was time to leave the crazy sandstorm and head back to our normal LA life. Coachella has been my favorite weekend every year since I moved to California five years ago from Sweden! What else does a girl want besides good music and cute clothes?
