Punishment came down hard and fast on Donald Sterling.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver imposed a lifetime ban against the Los Angeles Clippers owner Tuesday, just three days after a recording leaked of Sterling telling his alleged former mistress that he didn't want her posting photos of herself with black people on Instagram or bringing black guests to Clippers games.

And let's just say...the celebrity twitterverse is largely in full agreement with Silver's decision.

"Commissioner Silver showed great leadership in banning LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling for life," Magic Johnson, whose appearance in a photo with Sterling lady friend V. Stiviano was what appeared to provoke the 80-year-old billionaire real estate mogul's comments, tweeted immediately afterward. "Former and current NBA players are very happy and satisfied with Commissioner Silver's ruling.

Now the Clippers players and fans can concentrate on the game tonight against the Warriors with Commissioner Silver's decision," Johnson, the former Lakers legend who is a co-owner of the L.A. Dodgers, continued. "Now let's hope that the other 29 owners do the right thing. The people who I'm happiest for are Coach Doc Rivers, the Clippers players and fans."

"Now Donald Sterling can spend more time focusing on his wonderful marriage," tweeted B.J. Novak.

And here's a bigger sampling of the reactions streaming in from athletes, actors, music artists, journalists, business owners and more.
