Nashville's Scarlett (Clare Bowen) has officially hit rock bottom, y'all!
The ABC hit's talented songstress' breakdown in the last episode has left the rest of the characters desperate for answers and they're quick to point fingers at each other, especially Rayna (Connie Britton) and Deacon (Charles Esten).
We're sharing an exclusive sneak peek from Wednesday's all-new episode, aptly titled "Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad," which finds the former couple engaging in an intense showdown about Scarlett's fragile state.
"Hey, since Scarlett's been staying at your house, have you noticed her drinking alot or taking pills or whatever?" Rayna asks Deacon, who, as struggled with an addiction to alcohol, takes offense to Rayna's accusations that he somehow enabled his niece's drinking.
Deacon is quick to turn the tables on Rayna, accusing her of pushing Scarlett, who is signed to the country super star's label, too hard. Alas, it looks like both of them are directing their concern and anger at the wrong party as it becomes quite clear to both of them what's behind Scarlett's breakdown. Or should we say who? But Rayna and Deacon aren't the only ones being blamed for Scarlett's on-stage meltdown as Rayna is blaming Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) for pushing her to perform. Of course, when Juliette tries to turn to Avery for support, he's a little too preoccupied with Scarlett, his ex, to pay much attention.
Looking ahead, First Lady Michelle Obama is set to guest star in the May 7 episode of the ABC hit, along with country star Kellie Pickler. Both ladies will be playing themselves in the episode, which finds Rayna organizing a charity concert at Fort Campbell.
Nashville airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
