The Oscar winner and his latest ladylove, Amal Alamuddin, fueled rumors of an engagement this week, when the British attorney flashed a "massive" ring on her left ring finger Thursday evening, a source tells E! News.
The couple had been enjoying dinner at Nobu restaurant in Malibu with Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber when Alamuddin was spotted wearing the ring.
E! news has learned from two separate sources that the two are engaged. According to one source, the couple told pal Edward Norton they were set to tie the knot when he approached their table at dinner that night. "We're engaged!," they said, after he greeted them. The actor went on to congratulate them.
The 52-year-old Gravity star and Alamuddin took their romance public earlier this year, when they attended a White House screening for Clooney's film The Monuments Men in mid-February, and were later spotted leaving the Carlyle Hotel in New York City together in March. They were first spotted together last October, riding in the back of a car following an outing.
Clooney and the 36-year-old brunette were also spotted vacationing –and engaging in a little bit of PDA—in Seychelles and on a wildlife safari in Tanzania in March as well. Clooney was seen putting his arm around her before heading to their hotel for a nightcap.
Following that outing, they joined John Krasinski and Emily Blunt on a double date in Los Angeles in late March, grabbing some grub at Kazu Sushi in Studio City, Calif.
Regarding the possible engagement, Clooney's rep told E! News, "I don't comment on my client's personal life."
The actor was previously married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989-1993.
