To say Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's romance has been rocky would be an understatement.

The couple's reality show, True Tori, premiered on Lifetime on Tuesday, and viewers saw the duo's drama unfold as they attempt to mend their relationship after Dean cheated on Tori with 28-year-old Emily Goodhand during a trip to Toronto in December 2013.

Spelling has shed a number of tears while admitting that one her "worst fears came true" as she struggles with whether or not to pull the plug on her seven year marriage.

But things haven't always been bumpy for the couple—who has four children together, Liam, 7, Stella, 5, Hattie, 2, and Finn, 20 months—the two first got engaged in 2006 after just several months of dating and later tied the knot on May 7, 2006 in a private ceremony in Fiji.

They welcomed their first child together less than one year later and Tori gave birth to baby No. 2, daughter Stella, in 2008. The pair then welcomed their third and fourth child in 2011 and 2012, and until recently, appeared to be a very happy family.

Following the headline-making cheating scandal, Dean checked himself into rehab. "I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I've caused my family," the actor told E! News in a statement.

Although the two have been weathering the storm in couple's therapy, the cheating scandal has undoubtedly put a strain on their relationship. "We were both married when we met...We both cheated. We fell in love," Tori admitted in her True Tori docu-series.

And while Tori admits her marriage "may not have a happy ending," she can't help but confess her deep love for Dean.

"You don't stop loving someone because they do something really bad to you. He was my soul mate, but he completely broke my heart," she said.
