Theo Wargo/WireImageEmma Stone hit the red carpet Thursday night for the Amazing Spider-Man 2 premiere in New York City with a literal bang.
The 25-year-old actress looked stunning in an ethereal Prada slip dress. And even though she was showing some skin with open cutout detailing at the sides, it was her new bangs that really got our attention.
Wearing her hair in beachy waves, the redhead beauty debuted her new fringe—and we've gotta say—this look is really working for her.
This is coming just days after boyfriend and co-star Andrew Garfield got a buzz cut. And even though Andrew still looks just as handsome with his newly-buzzed head, out of the two haircuts, we definitely prefer Emma's. Sorry, Andrew.
Mara Roszak, L'Oréal Paris Consulting Celebrity Stylist (and the hairstylist behind Emma's new cut) gave E! News the exclusive scoop, explaining, "I wanted the bangs to have a '70's feel."
She went on, saying, "I wanted them to be slightly choppy and on the longer side. I like these type of bangs to have longer pieces on the sides for a softer look."
As for where she pulled inspiration? "I am always on Pinterest," said Mara. "Photography has always been inspiring to me. It's amazing to find editorial photos or images from older time periods."
We think Emma's beaming smile on the red carpet says it all, but we still asked if she was excited about her new bangs. "Yes!" confirmed Mara. "Emma has had bangs in the past, but it had been a little while."
